The Bucking S Ranch (Wyoming, USA) is looking for help. They need a cook, and a few wranglers. |

Hey Pig,
Do you know who they document foreign help? Just out of curiousity... Something tells me that a Russian passport would complicate things beyond what an average employer would what to deal with.
P.S. How are things? How's the mare you've been working with? How's your girl goind - still showing?

I ment to say "HOW" they document the help, not "who", of course - my apologies.

I honestly don't know who does what and how. I hired a girl last year, from Krasnodar, for three months, but I brought her in as an studnet-intern.

that sounds interesting too. Do you mind sharing how you went about bringing a student-intern on board? Are there any government sites that talk about it?
Many thanks

Actually, it's pretty straightforward - student gets an F-1, of J-1, or (in our case) M-1 visa and enters the US. Once in-country the two of you go to your nearest university (provided they know you, of course) and apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT)... then there is some more paperwork, and some more.. In our case, it all worked out and the girl is now studying vet. sciences at UI - Vet. College, so it was all in good cause.
Would I do it again?... hmmm.... yeah, I would. Maybe not.. takes loooooong time, and a pain in the arse, but worth doing, I think..
Check out the USCIS website, for Student Visas.

Great! Thanks a lot! I don't doubt for a second that it was a major PITA .
